AMBODIHASINA - FENERIVO
Ambodihasina laying at 110km away from Tamatave is a village typical of the eastern coast with its wooden hut, and roofed of Ravinala leaves. It depends on the district of Mahambo. It is a part of the eastern most watered region of the island. The abundance of rains is, in popular imagery, synonym of wealth. This assertion is far from being the reality on the land. The villagers of Ambodihasina essentially live on planting closes and coffe-schrub. Extremely enclaved, starting from NR5, it takes not less than 4 hours by 4x4, in dry season, to go over 15km separating NR5 of Ambodihasina. In spite of the destitution of its inhabitants, the visitor will be amazed of their heartiness. To combine business with pleasure, why not. After a visit of our Ambodihasina village, the tourist, the runner or diver will appreciate the worth seeing rest at Mahambo, the fishermen village and at Foulpointe, the favourite seaside resorted of the people of Tamatave, with its lagoon with its turquoise water.
